Pinhole Poetry runs a chapbook contest every year instead of the standard submission process. This year, our search will run from August 1 2026 until August 31 2026. Follow us on social media in order to keep up-to-date with entry requirements and announcements. All entries will receive a response before the winners are announced. The results of the search will be posted by the end of September 2026.
What we are looking for this year:
From August 1, 2026 until August 31, 2026 (midnight in whatever time zone you exist in), please send us your poetry chapbook manuscript of no less than 18 pages and no more that 26 pages (title and acknowledgement/bio pages not included) along with a $10 entry fee that can be paid directly to pinholepoetry@gmail.com through e-transfer (within Canada) or PayPal (everywhere, Canada included). With your submission, please include your third-person bio, a brief synopsis of your manuscript (50 words or less), and a screenshot of the proof of payment.
We will be selecting 8 chapbooks this year. Each poet who is selected will receive eleven gratis copies, or a cash prize in lieu (poet’s preference) and their manuscript will be designed and published as a handmade chapbook using the finest materials. Initial print runs are usually from 50-100 copies, depending on pre-order demand. Publication rights return to the poet after the publication of the first edition has ceased. Our publication schedule will begin in early November 2026 and run until end of June 2027.
