Artist Statement: This series represents my first successful attempt to create a pinhole camera from a matchbox. Being essentially the same width as 35mm film, using a matchbox as the camera body allowed me to use an entire roll of film before reloading, rather than shooting individual sheets of paper one at a time. The cluttered yard of a friend’s rural property provided plenty of subject matter.
