VICTOR PERROTTI
FOUR PINHOLES & A POEM

Artist Statement: I am a collector of light. My prints are fierce and full of infinite depth. The handmade experience of developing film and making prints fosters a connection between my core values and the metal on the paper. Through photography, I am able to experience connections flowing back and forth between varied juxtaposed elements. These elements take the form of oscillating objects yearning for expansive environments. Within this vision, I feel an affinity for the natural world that slowly strengthens as the whole creation becomes greater than the sum of its individual parts. We are responsible for the preservation of nature.
Perspective is paramount as I gravitate toward far-reaching skies and intricate landscapes. I challenge you, the viewer, to reevaluate your presuppositions and feel what it is like to “stand outside of yourself.” I am building a new reality; a reality that is your invitation to introspection. The circle feels complete when coupling analog waves and digital zeros/ones. I struggle to get it right but when I do, it’s for one hundred years.
i wish i could speak in technicolour
breathe deep within
the cresting waves
of air molecules
as they turn inside-out
flowering geometry
vibrant in their mutations
see how the particles
are all interconnected
oscillating revolutions
arranging and rearranging
endlessly — driven by
a pulsating heart
reach across
the expanding universe
to awaken the webs
vibrating deep within
the soft bone marrow
of our existence
life’s commonality
spreads out beneath
the depths of the sea
and the star child
is not out there
but is inside
