Artist Statement

My current artistic practice is concerned with the interaction of the body with my subject matter. Using intentional camera movement, I aim to capture gestures of natural forms, in hopes of capturing something of their essence and something of the experience of observing and engaging with nature. The resulting images are enigmatic, vibrant, and abstracted, while also remaining somewhat referential to the original subject. My hope with these images is to invite another perspective into humanity’s engagement with natural forms and nature itself.
