ARTIST STATEMENT/ I’ve long been in love with the Ginkgo Biloba. The shape of the leaves are particularly delicious to me. This form offers such organic variances as I move around taking photos, rhythmically morphing from one shape into another. In these photos, I’m trying to capture the feeling of being with the Ginkgo, of the movement of myself with the tree and the leaves. I marvel at its history, legacy, and perseverance as one of the oldest living species of tree.
