Artist Statement / Our lives are often filled with ambiguity, yet most people seek to assign meaning at every opportunity. My collection of pinhole photography presented here attempts to sit with uncertainty. These images are an exercise in forging a recognition that our memories, truth, and connectedness offer us perspectives but not always answers. The long exposures and lack of precise control transform familiar scenes into ethereal landscapes, where chance light trails and unexpected blurs become collaborators in the creative process. This embrace of the unknown fosters a deeper understanding of connectedness. The captured blurs hint at the constant movement and change that binds us all, a silent symphony of time passing. It’s a reminder that our memories, though subjective and shaped by personal experience, resonate with a universal human story. Through the unpredictable nature of pinhole photography, I chase not a singular truth, but a tapestry woven from light, time, and the shared experience of existence.
